Welcome to the month of August

Welcome to the month of August

I welcome you to the month of August. For about six months, we have been in lockdown and measures are now in place to loosen things to allow us more freedom. Throughout the lockdown period, God has kept us, shielded us, given His angels over us and we are alive today. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Psalm 150.6. For two minutes praise God with me!

In Bible numerology, the number 8 means a new beginning; Our God is a God of new beginnings, and every sixty seconds, He gives us a brand new minute, for every sixty minutes, He gives us a brand new hour, for every twenty-four hours, He gives us a brand-new day; for every seven days, a brand new week; for every thirty days, a brand new month; for every twelve months, a brand new year! In Isaiah 43:18-19, scriptures remind us to remember not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

New beginnings can be from a variety of situations; starting a new job, relocating to a new country/city, beginning a new relationship, new phase of life – getting to know God, getting married, starting that project etc. It is your season of new things but you must not remember the former things so you can move forward.

As you journey through the month of August, I pray that God almighty will do a new thing regarding those areas that you are believing God for in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
