As President Donald Trump assumes office today, whatever side of the political, social or religious fence one stands: we all know that he was voted in via an electoral system that has been in place since time. Whatever one feels about his election – the fact is many humans believe in either ‘destiny’ or ‘God’s will’ (I believe in the latter).

I believe 2 Chronicles 7:14 and 1 Timothy 2:2 are ever so pressing for us to continue to observe – not just for the U.S. but for the UK (regarding the Brexit process), for Nigeria, and for the world. The saying goes “be the change that you want to see”, and I believe we can also ‘keep praying for the change we want to see’ so – rather than fold one’s arms and watch out for the new President to fail – it’s time to start praying for godly wisdom for President Trump and VP Pence, plus for our own PM Teresa May, for President Buhari, and for all leaders in power.

When a human has godly wisdom, they lead justly – and that’s what we hope will be the legacy of the new leaders of the U.S., and anyone assuming political, religious, and corporate office in the U.S., the UK, and of course globally too.
